Rising costs = discovering our own backyards

A recent conversation that took place in Cadwell Park's clubhouse, highlighted for me some of the effects of spiralling petrol prices.

Quote, "A proper day's riding now sets me back £80 in petrol, & that's put a stop to my planned trip to Spain with my mates this year".

The speaker was not alone, several other riders in the group expressed similar changes to their plans for this year, and the majority seemed intent upon spending their money discovering areas of the UK that they had yet to explore - Wales, Cornwall, Scotland, Northumberland,

all would seem to be in line for increased visitors on bikes this year.

So, spend the money you would have earmarked for ferries upon petrol & discover the glories of our varied and beautiful isles.
