The hoary old debate centring upon whether or not to ride with lights on or off has resurfaced in an up-to-date form. It would appear that some riders are using full-beam for daylight runs, perhaps in the belief that "more = better"?
From initial feedback from "SMIDSY"* perpetrators it would seem that an unwanted effect of using full beam during daylight hours, is that other road users find it problematic to judge a bike's distance and approach speed when faced with a rider using high beam.
So, remember to check that your lights are on dipped when you set off.
All the best, Jim.
